Where is Thailand?

Thailand is located in South-East Asia. Thailand shares borders with Malaysia to the South, Burma to the West & North, Laos to the North & East and Cambodia to the east.

Geographically, Thailand can be broken up into four main regions – Central Thailand, Northern Thailand, North-Eastern Thailand (also known as the Issan region) and Southern Thailand.

Thailand has two coasts – the Andaman Coast and the Gulf of Thailand. The Andaman Coast runs along the Western side of Thailand into the Andaman Sea. The Gulf of Thailand runs along Southern Thailand’s East coast and up around Central Thailand towards Cambodia.
